I think you are underrating how weird liz warren sounds to normie voters. Or the Squad. Or defending trans women in womens sports. Or defund the police. Or the Harris press secretary's statements yesterdsy on identity in reaction to Trump
Warren's policy positions aren't universally popular by any means, but she doesn't go around attacking (say) women who don't have children or telling people to boycott Bud Light. There are definitely policy questions where Democrats have minority, even small minority, positions - but I don't think you'll find speaker after speaker at the Democratic convention emphasizing those, and if they do they'll use bland-sounding language.
